Good place, nice food with open kitchen. Staff is friendly and food is tasty though the cuisine is not that authentic indian. The curry for different dishes are similar and sometimes bland. Although overall it is a very good place.

I've tried many Indian restaurants in the Puget Sound over the past five years. Whatever this restaurant is serving, doesn't qualify as Indian food. I placed a to go order. Shrimp biryani was like tomato rice. Lamb vindaloo was tangy, watery - has the chef even tasted this dish elsewhere ever? Quantities were meager for the price, had the quality been good I'd have looked over the price factor. Both were bad.

Service can be a bit slow due to they cook each meal from scratch. Food is very good. Staff is friendly and courteous.

We went out of our way to visit Clay oven after a long drive from Canada on the way to the airport. We got there at 245PM. Our greeter was professional, polite with a smile on her face. We ask 4 table for 3 and a high chair for the baby. The greeter went to a middle aged grumpy Indian man who told her to makes us wait for a few minutes at the heart door for them to set up. She obviously didn't look the same smiling person anymore. Holding the sleeping baby in the car seat after 3 minutes when the restaurant was empty only 2 tables occupied. Made us feel not welcome. We walked out to Vietnamese food place with a much better service.

Food was disappointing. Took a guy for his first experience with Indian food and it wasn't a good representation of what Indian food can be.
