Equipment options very limited compared to other anytime gyms. No showers? Really????
This gym is a disappointment. Major pieces of equipment missing: No chain belt for weighted dips/pullups, no straight bar attachment for cable tower. For real? Those are basic items. No rowing machine. No stairmaster. Just one resistance band.
Worst anytime gym I've been to which says a lot considering I am up and down the I five corridor from Bellingham to Portland.
In addition, the bathroom is gross.
Owner is a criminal. I feel badly for the poor manager, but he needs to find a new job. This guy has been provided written proof of cancellation, but he continues to charge and try to blackmail us. He's been reported to the AG and BBB. Stay away!!
I originally joined Anytime Fitness in Bellingham because of the cleanliness and up to date equipment. This gym is dirty, has broken equipment, and doesn't have pre-weighted barbells, resistance bands, a rowing machine, stairmaster, etc. I am not paying $50 a month to use dirty, broken equipment when I could pay $10 elsewhere for the same quality if not better. After seeing Anytime Fitness facilities elsewhere, I am severely disappointed with this location.
Oh, ALSO: There has been a broken bench on the floor for the past week with no sign warning it is unsafe. There is a bolt missing connecting the pad to the base, making it unstable and a hazard. I have shifted it every night to highlight that it needs to be fixed and every time I come back it is shifted back into place but not fixed. This practice is lazy, irresponsible, and will cost the company a lot of money when somebody throws out their back using the bench for heavy lifting and sues for negligence.
Anytime Fitness corporate needs to address this. I signed up at the Bellingham locations because of the beautiful facilities. I was under the impression that Anytime Fitness was a quality chain. My $50/month bill certainly implies that it is. I feel swindled.
tried to cancel membership via email after my membership period was over, no response. came in to cancel in person, manger lied to my face and told me he would cancel it right there. I still got charged the next month. put a hold on my card so they would stop charging me, and now I just got a collection bill for three months dues in the mail. the guy who runs this place is just a sleazy dude
