Wonderful experience from start to finish. I would call this restaurant legendary. The service and food were outstanding. Do the herb garden and wine cellar tours before dinner.
Tasty food. Smoked turkey was the highlight which is fitting given today is Thanksgiving. Several intriguing culinary combinations for sure.
Decent wine pairings.
It's good, even great...but is it worth the price? I'm not sure. We had a much better experience this time. We went maybe 9 years ago and felt the portions and wine pours were small, but not the case this time. So, is it fabulous, yes. Could you go to a high end restaurant and have a full course meal with great wine and cocktails for a couple hundred less, yes.
This is an exceptional dining experience. The food, the wine, the service, the ambiance, and EVERYTHING about their (your) dinner is unique. It is a true farm to table restaurant. Their Farm...Your Table. But more than that, they have such a unique and talented chef and kitchen staff they are always creating new treats. The bounty that they have in Northwest means they can source from the mountains of Idaho to the fisheries of Canada/Alaska. With Washington and Oregon in between they constantly plate amazing dishes which flat out stun the palate. There is no "BEST" of class when it comes to restaurants of this quality. The Herbfarm, however, should not be missed and should be visited more than once. I have enjoyed many of their themes, and NEVER have had the exact same dish. NEVER. And that's enough capital letters for one review. Check it out. Feed the pigs the first time you go and you'll be set for life. They'll explain that when you get there. Finally, the European common table is a blast as well.
A soul-healing experience. If you need some help with putting your thoughts in order, this is the right place to be. Here people are people, taste is taste, elegance is elegance and everything is done with respect to life. You will enjoy the beauty of this world while talking to others, trying the food, and looking around yourself. So greatfull to Ron and Carrie for setting everything and sharing it with others.
